Megan Finch
I am a multimedia artist and writer from the Pacific Northwest who comes from a line of Montana farmers, pastors, and writers. I have inherited their diligence, their spiritual reverence, and their seeking to communicate about life and the divine (the real and the ineffable) (the land and the sky).
My work is made in any number of mediums, usually in series, and frequently in reference to the landscapes in which I grew up. I use found and recycled materials in combination with print, collage, textile, drawing, painting, and sculptural techniques. My process is organic and gradual and time- and labor-intensive. The images and objects that result are prayers, and they are dreams, and they are a little piece of home.
